This book was more of a chance for the author to share stories about his personal experiences and less about telling the reader how to care for a lemur, as the title suggests. It was very short and a waste of money.
Great START for people interested in owning a lemur. Being intelligent and moody primates with specific dietary needs, you'll need to do a lot more research on them. By no means is this book a "complete guide", but it's a good starter manual!
Very informative book. The Castleberry's knowledge and willingness to share their knowledge and experience with others is invaluable! A must read for lemur owners.

Overall very well written, great for any beginner. Being married to a long time lemur parent there are several chunks of incorrect information (nothing dire or jeopardizing to the health or care of your lemur)
If you get a pet lemur I feel like this book may be a start, but it is much too short to begin to be helpful for a new owner of a lemur!
This is a great book to figure out if pet lemurs are good for you. It has many personal stories and a few photos. It is well written and easy to read. It is not a detailed care, enclosure building, health, and regulations guide though. (Which is what I was expecting.) They touch on all those aspects, but do not go deeper into the subjects. Good for beginners!
